THE grains industry is being warned to prepare for change regardless of any outcomes of the Cole inquiry into the AWB, with the National Australia Bank predicting a significant shift in the way grain is sold and marketed. At present I think it is fair to say that all eyes in the grains industry appear to be on the look-out for a report from the Cole inquiry and the fate of the Single Desk as there could be significant changes to the way we all do business depending on the outcome, the recommendations and the reaction of government.
