It has been well-reported that cat veterinary visits have been declining since 2001. The 2011 Bayer Veterinary Care Usage Study suggests that clients' beliefs about visiting their practice may have something to do with the trend. In the survey, just thinking about going to the veterinarian was stressful for 37.6% of cat owners (while only 26.2% of dog owners said the same). And 58.2% reported their cat hates going to the veterinarian, as compared with 37.5% of dog owners who said the same.
