摘要

A method for preconcentration and elimination of the enhancement-absorption effects that occur in x-ray fluorescence analysis of trace rare earth elements (REE) is presented. The method consists in using chelating resins prepared by sorption of 2[2(5-chloropyridyl)azo]-5-dimethylaminophenol (5ClDMPAP) and quinolin-8-ol on Amberlite XAD-4 and XAD-7 macroporous resins to obtain thin films. These reagents proved to be good chelating agents for the preconcentration of some REE. The conditions for preparing thin films with the loaded resins were studied. The critical thicknesses of the films were experimentally determined and calculated. The absence of interferences was proved and the REE could be determined satisfactorily by x-ray fluorescence spectrometry. [References: 17]
