Community pharmacies in NHS Greater Glasgow have a 'Quality in Practice' manual,1 containing a series of self-audit modules covering key areas of professional activity Although intended for use by pharmacists independently, a project had demonstrated success with pharmacists working in local healthcare co-operative (LHCC) groupings, meeting and sharing their results to guide improvements 2 Anecdotal evidence suggested that there was a dearth of professional and operational information available for locums in some community pharmacies The 'Information for Locums' self-audit module was used in the collaborative model to audit this.The aim of the study was to audit and re-audit the professional and operational information available to locum pharmacists in Greater Glasgow community pharmacies.
