摘要

The reliability of the integrity assessment depends on a large degree on the reliability of the input data. Often data describing the current status of a pipeline is delivered by inspection. In-line inspection by intelligent pigging is the most efficient way to inspect the complete pipeline quickly, completely and with the smallest possible interruption of the production process. The reliability of inspection data with respect to integrity assessment is examined. The more precise inspection data will allow for a less conservative assessment with ramifications on the allowable operating pressure the inspection interval and other needs on integrity assessment.
