Demand for high-mpg, low-CO_2 cars is booming - and Honda is getting in on the act with its new Jazz Hybrid. Here it faces its supermini rivals. MORE AND MORE people are starting to see the light: high-mpg and low-CO_2 superminis are the ideal way to cut your costs and reduce your impact on the planet. Honda's Jazz Hybrid combines a petrol engine and an electric motor for CO_2 emissions of just 104g/km. Fiat's new 500 Twinair dips under the 100g/km barrier, thanks to a sophisticated new two-cylinder petrol engine, while the latest Mini One D has a CO_2 output of 99g/km. Last but not least, the VW Polo Bluemotion is the greenest car here, with a remarkable 91g/km CO_2 emissions figure.
