摘要

OWING to the burning of fossil fuels, cutting down trees in forests, etc., the global atmospheric CO_2 concentration increases continually, and could be doubled by the end of the next century. Recently many plant physiology labs abroad have paid moreattention to the effect of elevated CO_2 on photosynthesis, and done a lot of research work in many aspects of plant photosynthesis. Whether elevated CO_2 affects the chlorophyll-protein complexes which are embedded in chloroplast thylakoid membranes andplays an important role in the absorption, transfer and conversion of light energy has not been reported yet. In the present study, we attempt to investigate and to ascertain the effect of doubled CO_2 on chlorophyll-protein complexes.
