摘要

The increase of the productivity of the processes of automatic and mechanized MIG/MAG welding is an important task, and the solution of this task is determined by the characteristics of droplet transfer and arcing stability. The main problem in gas-shielded consumable electrode welding is the low quality of the formation of the root layer of the butt welded joint, welding in the overhead position, and with high energy density. These shortcomings are determined by low arcing stability, which is the result of large electrode metal droplet transfer and splashing. The characteristics of the process of consumable electrode welding can be improved by the application of activating fluxes~(1,2).
