摘要

Rapid development has been seen in China's economy since the country pursued the reform and opening up policy. The annual average growth rate of GDP from 1979 to 1994 was 9.3 percent. The regional distribution of China's economy has been simultaneously improved. The acceleration of China's economy took place from the coastal areas, especially from southern coastal areas, and gradually spread into the mid-west and the north. Starting from the early 1990s, a vivid saying that the region enjoying the fastest economic growth was shifting from the south to the north had got around in the circle of China's economy, that is "the 80s is the time of Guangdong , and the 90s is the time of Pudong".
