Properties of solid C_(60) at atmospheric pressure have been widely studied since solid C_(60) was discovered. In recent years, the crystal structure, electrical and optical properties of solid C_(60), at high pressure have been studied, and some newinteresting phenomena observed,.The high-pressure X-ray diffraction and electrical resistance measurements showed that solid C_(60), has a phase transition at about 15 — 22 GPa Recent studies still indicated that solid C_(60) has a phase transition froma high-temperature f.c.c. structure to a low-temperature s.c. structure at 249 K, and that the order-disorder transition temperature increases with increasing pressure, so the phase transition in solid C_(60) at room temperature occurs at pressures above about 0.3—0.45 GPa. The capacitance measurement in the diamond anvil cell (DAC) showed that the phase transition in solid C_(60), was observed at pressures of about 1,6 — 4.2 GPa at room temperature. In the present work, the P-V relationship for solid C_(60) to 4,5 GPa has been studied, using the measurement method for the P-V relationship, The phase transition in solid C_(60), has been observed in the measured pressure range, and its equations of state before and after the phase transition have also been given.
