摘要

Microgels can be considered as colloidal particles and typically have average diameters in the range of ten to a few hundred nanometers. These pH-responsive microgels can be defined as crosslinked polymer particles that swell when the pH approaches the dissociation constant (pKa) of the ionic monomer incorporated within the particles, and the pH-responsive microgels are more widely studied as a class of smart polymers.
