A biocidal composition comprising a halopropynyl compound as active ingredient and a buffer provides biocidal activity to an end-use formulation and stabilises-the formulation at a pH of between 3.0 and 8.0 against degradation of the halopropyl compound,and particularly a halopropynyl carbamate fungicide.
