摘要

Spray nozzles are often used to reduce the concentration of airborne dusts, for example, during the handling of bulk materials. Decisive in reducing dust emissions is, in addition to the flow rate of the water volume and the effective speed between the water droplets and dust particles, also the droplet size distribution in the water spray. This can be influenced by the atomization modes, the nozzle geometries, the pressures, and the use of additives in the spray water. Excerpts of this article were already published in scientific journals [1-3] and presented during the Conference on Bulk Materials Handling Technology in Magdeburg in 2013.
