摘要

This paper describes the knowledge trading environment where workers can receive recognition and reward by producing their knowledge. This environment, which we call "KNOWTE", aims at motivating the workers to share (produce) their knowledge. In KNOWTE, a worker can sell (produce) his/her knowledge to and buy (consume) knowledge from other workers by using virtual money. In other words, the produced knowledge is regarded as commodities and is traded in the company. Recognition is shown as the financial status (i.e., the amount of virtual money). Reward is given as virtual money that can be exchanged for real commodities. We developed a prototype system of KNOWTE that works in conjunction with a pervasive information system and an e-shopping system.
