Science education has traditionally focused on the acquisition of knowledge and performance of methods relevant to specific scientific disciplines and, in later undergraduate years, on the development of critical thinking and intellectual skills to analyse this scientific information. 'Behaving ethically' is often listed as a generic graduate attribute and is usually interpreted as professional ethics relating to behaviour in a professional setting.
