摘要

The objective of this experiment was to find out the effects of nutrient solution strength, seedling age, and container size on the seedling quality and fruit yield of coloured bell pepper (C. annuum) cv. Spirit. Seedlings were raised under a factorial experiment of 3 solution strengths (84, 112 and 140 mg litre-1 N), 4 seedling ages (40, 50, 60 and 70 days) and in 3 container sizes (70, 200 and 270 ml). Seedlings were transplanted and cultivated in perlite medium with the hot pepper-special nutrient solution (N-P-K-Ca-Mg=12-3-7-4-2 me litre-1). Seedling growth was greater with increasing age and solution strength. Root growth and the number of branches were not affected by the treatment. Plant height, dry weight, and the number of branches a month after transplanting increased with seedling age and solution strength. In the first month after harvesting, the yield increased with seedling age, however, in the second month, it was not different between treatments. Growth, T/R ratio of seedling andyield in the first month after harvesting increased with container size, while the yield in the second month was not affected by the size of the container.
