The All India Federation of Plastic Industries (AIFPI) has sought continuance of excise duty exemption as opposed to the recommendation made by the Kelkar Committee, which has suggested reducing the limit to Rs 50 lakh for any unit coming under the purview of small-scale industry (SSI).
