摘要

Additive and multiplicative Schwarz algorithms are described for the efficient iterative resolution of a linear system arising by the discretization and Tikhonov regularization of an ill-posed problem. The algorithms and their convergence analyses are presented in a rather abstract framework which applies - for instance - to integral equations of the first kind discretized either by spline functions or Daubechies wavelets. Numerical experiments are reported which substantiate the quality of the convergence analysis. [References: 7]
