摘要

A new Mn~(II) coordination polymer, namely [Mn_3(Hbic)_6]_n (1) (H_2bic = 1H-benzimidazole-5-carboxylic acid), was obtained through the hydrothermal reaction of MnCl_2 and H_2bic. Single crystal X-ray analysis reveals that compound 1 exhibits a 2D layer structure with 4-connected sql topology by viewing trinuclear [Mn_3(COO)_6] subunits as nodes and Hbic ligands as linkers, and further packing of these 2D sheets by intermolecular hydrogen bonds leads to a 3D supramolecular framework. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements reveal that there exists antiferromagnetic interaction between the Mn~(II) ions.
