Readily synthesised mono- and di- 1,4-substituted-1,2,3-triazole "click" ligands are shown toself-assemble into discrete metallocyclic architectures with Ag(I) ions. The silver metallomacrocycles arestable in solution and the solid state and have been fully characterised by elemental analysis, HR-ESMS,IR, ~1H and ~(13)C NMR and in three cases the structures were confirmed by X-ray crystallography
