As the farming industry looks to increase productivity through bigger and faster equipment John Deere has responded by launching the 373 kW four-wheel drive 9620 and track-driven 9620T tractors. Not only do the 9620 and 9620T extend the high end of Deere's 9020 series' power range to 373 kW but they are now the largest tractor models produced by the company. Adding the 373 kW models, said Derek Schmidt product manager for the 9020 tractors, "allows operators who have the need to operate their equipment faster, deeper or wider, to do so. "As growers desire to increase productivity," he added, "increasing in horsepower is one way to help them achieve that goal." Since launching the tractors in North America in June, Deere has expanded its market distribution globally. The tractors are now available in Asia, China, South America, Australia and Eastern and Western Europe, which Deere said is one of its fastest growing market regions for the 9620 and 9620T models.
