In the never-ending search to supply the best machine components at the most reasonable price, the engine-powered equipment industry has at times relied on a range of manufacturing technologies, including metal forging, stamping and powdered metal forming. The trend in many segments has been toward die casting, in part because when compared to many other processes, die cast parts can be produced very quickly with a low unit cost.
