The ideal prerequisite for long-term business success is to offer a product with the optimized quality at the best price in marketable quantity. Key factors in this context are for one thing the Process Capability Index C_P and C_(Pk), which represent the upkeep of economic competitiveness and the attainment of the quality requirements, as well as the Overall Equipment Effectiveness OEE. An optimization of such enables you to reduce the production costs and at the same time increase the output. The presentation "Sustainable Influence on Process Capability and Overall Equipment Effectiveness" focuses on the key factors in the view of a manufacturer for high-precision production machinery and illustrates the options for sustainable influence. The first part of the presentation gives you an overview of the values C_P and C_(pk) as well as their fundamental significance. This will be followed by a practical example illustrating why it is of elementary importance that all individual components are reliably manufactured while maintaining the best-possible tolerances. Finally, a production cycle for a manufacturing machine will be utilized to demonstrate how the machine manufacturer can influence the later C_(pk) value for the product which is to be manufactured. The second part deals with the Overall Equipment Effectiveness OEE. Focus is made on the calculation of the OEE, possible disruptive factors and measures drawn on practice by the machine manufacturer to improve the OEE.
