We study the injectivity of the map ( of pointed sets) Um(r+1)(R)/Er+1(R) -> SO2(r+1)(R)/EO2(r+ 1)(R), which we had constructed in [12]. We obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for the kernel to be non- trivial under some additional assumptions on r.
