摘要

Aventurine copper glass has been known since the Middle Ages. The "aventurine effect" is based on the phenomenon of offence of one component solubility, relatively to which the solution is supersaturated. The quality of this glass is strongly dependent on the technical conditions-including composition of the glass, melting and heat treatment conditions. The metallic iron is used here, as a reducing agent. Defining state of iron was purpose of die work described here. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A. [References: 8]
