摘要

Plumbagin is a naturally occurring naphtoquinone used in traditional Chinese medicine. The antitumor activity of this compound is mediated through reactive oxygen species (ROS) formation induced by its copper complexes [1, 2]. Herein we investigate the solution equilibrium of the Cu(II)-plumbagin system together with the antitumor potential of the ligand and its Cu(II) complexes on the uterine sarcoma cell line MES-SA.
