Coatema Coating Machinery GmbH exhibited at the special show PEPSO (Printed Electronics Products and Solutions), located in entry hall north. Coatema, too, presented a market premiere: The Thin Film Coater. It is a high precision lab plant for sheet-to-sheet operation, which can coat and print in one step. The application units are equipped with servo drives to ensure a high precision gap adjustment. As announced prior to the show, Coatema presented a live demonstration on the Smartcoater. It showed coating with the gravure-printing unit using a special ink and subsequent curing with a UV-LED, which is very small and extremely energy-efficient.
