摘要

A UNIVERSITY THAT fails to conduct research, promote innovation, or advocate critical thinking would be dismissed by any serious educator. The values espoused by institutions and their programmatic missions must be reflected in the behavior of the members. I would like to encourage educators and administrators in colleges of nursing to act on a "disconnect" that has already been observed and documented in the clinical setting. If the mission of nursing is to advance research, education, and practice in the health of the whole person, then we should expect to find professionals in all settings who are role models for healthy living.
