摘要

SnO_2 is a well known and widely studied snesor material for the detection of CO and flammable gases like H_2.Here we discuss the use of porous networks of SnO_2 nanoparticles for an opticla detection of the reducinggas CO. Nano-sized SnO_2 clusters were pepared by thesol-gel method using anorganically modified Snprecursor. After thermal treatment at 550degC the mean diameters of the primary SnO_2 nanopariticles constructing the network were estimated to approx 25 nm and approx15 nm,respectivley,for particles obtained in acid and basic catlaysis. The reversible resox beahvior of SnO_2-clusters in reducing and oxidizing atmospheres (CO,O_2) was studied optically by in-situ DR-UV/VIS spectroscopy.
