摘要

A simple thermo model of a five phase induction motor has been developed. The thermo model parameters, namely the thermal resistance and thermal capacitance of an induction motor have been determined experimentally with DC test. The thermal model is used to measure the temperature distribution of induction motor at various parts and compared with predicted temperature values. The thermal model is based on simple equations that are compared with more complex equations well known in literature has been studied. LM35 thermo couple sensor is fixed at various parts of the induction motor to measure the temperature of the motor. A V/F control method is employed to control the induction motor at low speed.
