Chemical investigation of the stem bark of Artocarpus chaplasha (Moraceae) afforded cycloartenyl acetate (1), 24-methylenecycloartanyl acetate (2), lupenyl acetate (3), (23E)-25-hydroxycycloart-23-en-3 beta-ol (4), (23E)-25methoxycycloart-23-en-3p-ol (5), (23E)L25-hydroperoxycycloart-23-en-3 beta-ol (6), beta-sitosterol (7) and stigmasterol (8). Compounds 2, 4-6 and 8 are reported for the first time from this plant. The structures of all these known compounds have been established by spectral analysis.
