摘要

The start of a new year signals reflection and renewed hope for the future. As transcultural nurses we all value and respect the differences that make us unique. Coming together in Minneapolis we were afforded the opportunity and venue to explore our collective wisdom through new personal connections, sharing information, exchanging ideas, and dialoguing and debating issues. As we explored indigenous ways of knowing, my hope is our minds were opened to new experiences and viewpoints, allowing the lens we normally look through to see the traditional, indigenous perspective, embracing what we learned in such a way as to enrich and inform our nursing practice, the education of our students, and our research agendas.
