摘要

The paper provides an interesting account of the processes and outcomes of tracking the impact of health visiting research on related health-care policy. Given the recent national debate in the UK concerning the importance of evidence-informed policy and the possibility that the next national assessment of Higher Education Institution research, the Research Excellence Framework, will include a measure of the impact of research as a key element, this analysis is timely. The focus is also apposite at a time when the health visiting profession is assuming increasing significance in government plans for delivery of health care.
