摘要

Makino (1907) described Sanguisorba grandiflora (Rosaceae) citing "Sanguisorba tenuifolia var. grandiflora Maxim.?" in the protologue. Although some botanists cite this taxon as " S.grandiflora (Maxim.) Makino", according to ICN (Melbourne Code) Art.35.2， Makino should be the only author for the taxon. Two relevant specimens of S. grandiflora are kept in TI, and we designate one of the syntypes, K. Yendo, s.n., as the lectotype. After comparison between S. grandiflora Makino and S. tenuifolia var.grandiflora Maxim., we have concluded that they should be treated as different taxa within one species, S. tenuifolia. When S. grandiflora is treated as a variety of S. tenuifolia, we should use S. tenuifolia var. kurilensis Kudo, a replacement name forS. grandiflora.
