摘要

A simplified method of fatigue crack growth analysis using a database of influence coefficients has been developed based on the influence function method directly using 3D-FEM to improve the prediction ability of fatigue crack growth in surface cracks under arbitrary distributed stress. The software system uses the database of influence coefficients developed for various types of surface cracks. Crack growth prediction based on the influence function method using the 3D-FEM results showed greater correlation with the experimental results than that by a linear approximation method of arbitrary distributed stress. A simple approximate equation of arbitrary distributed stress in the cross section of virtual crack surface was determined to simplify crack growth analysis based on the influence function method.
