Most wells in long-term development are highly water-cut and their production rates are low, hence their operational costs increase and further development becomes uneconomical. Analysis shows that 75% of wells in the onshore oil-gas producing companies are those with daily production rate not higher than 1 ton, whilst depreciation deductions for 2965 wells, i.e. 89.2% are not imposed, and their costs are transferred to the end product. Number of such wells operated in depletion mode increases year after year. Thus, timely analysis and identification of wells with low flowrates is very important.
