摘要

Impact-echo is a method for non-destructive testing of concrete and steel structures that is based on the use of impact-generated surface acoustic waves that propagate over the concrete and steel and are reflected by internal flaws and external cracks. It can be used to determine the location and extent of flaws such as cracks, delaminations, voids and debonding in plain, reinforced, and post-tensioned concrete structures. The proposed wave frontal detection method can classify the surface acoustic wave field as the rank of covariance matrix of the spatio-temporal gradient space. It can provide wave velocity and 2-dimensional location of a wave source and wave velocity and a collinear vector of the impact point and a crack.
