By thinning catkins, chestnut yield could be significantly increased and the nut quality could be improved. But thinning catkins manually is very difficult. The chemical-thinning of chestnut trees catkins is more convenient, economical and easier than hand-thinning. This paper reported appropriate chemical, variety, diluted concentration and sprayed time for chemo-thinning catkins to the chestnut.
