摘要

Beauty matters, Studies on earning differentials in the labor market have shown that physical appearance, as well as age, race, and gender, affect earnings,,1"5 Interestingly, these disparities based on physical appearance are not limited to how individuals are perceived by others. A woma'n's self-assessment of her pulchritude also is correlated with her earnings potential.1 When viewed from this perspective, facial rejuvenation is not merely a trivial indulgence; rather, it becomes an important aspect not only for career development but also social interaction and self-esteem As the population ages and more older people remain in the workforce longer, treating aging facial features is likely to become the norm so individuals can continue to be viewed as dynamic and innovative rather than stagnant and out of touch.
