The global carbon emissions trading market will be worth more than $395 billion by 2014, well over three times its size in 2008, according to analysts at US-based ABI Research. A new report from ABI Research suggests the market was worth $118 billion in 2008 and will continue to expand, despite concerns over low carbon prices in Europe, the slow pace of global economic recovery and the negative effects of world leaders' failure to reach agreement in Copenhagen last month on a replacement for the Kyoto climate change protocol.
