London-listed independent Trapoil said on Friday that a well drilled on the Scotney prospect in the UK North Sea will be plugged and abandoned after no hydrocarbons were found. The Scotney exploration well on license P1658 was drilled to its target depth of 10,600 feet. It was estimated to have gross prospective resources of around 57 million boe (IOD Feb.11'13).
