Russia's Gazprom Neft has outlined plans to develop its new asset in the Orenburg region, which is set to become one of the company's key drivers of production growth over the next decade. Last year, Gazprom Neft bought the Zhivoy Istok (Vital Spring) company, which holds an exploration and production license for the Baleikinskoye oil field and an exploration license for the Uranskaya area in the Orenburg region. Initial recoverable reserves of the firm are estimated at 454,000 metric tons (3.3 million bbl) of explored reserves under Russian C1 classification, while preliminary estimated and potential reserves are 5.3 million bbl under C2 and C3 classification. Gas reserves are estimated at 26 MMcm.
