Poland's state-run gas group PGNIG saw a sharp rise in third-quarter profits as volumes from its equity Norwegian and additional Polish upstream interests fed through. Net profit for the quarter reached $210 million (654 million zloty), a sevenfold increase yearon-year, thanks to gas and oil from its 11.92% stake in Norway's offshore Skarv field--started up on New Year's Eve 2012--and its Lubiatow oil field in Poland (IOD Jan.3'13).
