China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) intends to boost its hydrocarbon production in the Pearl River Mouth Basin, on the northern edge of the South China Sea, by more than 25% to some 400,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day by 2020, up from an expected 318,000 boe/d this year.
