Premier Oil reports that testing of the Matang gas discovery on Block A Aceh in Indonesia has flowed gas. The Upper Bampo Limestone formation has been tested over the interval 7,785ft (2,373m) net true vertical depth (TVD) to 7,853ft (2,393m) TVD and has flowed gas at a rate of 25 MMcf/d (708.2 Mcm/d) through a 52/64-inch choke. Initial sampling indicates that the gas contains around 15% carbon dioxide.
