Bangkok— Indorama Ventures (IVL) has disclosed plans to build an integrated facility in India for the production of purified jterephthalic acid (PTA), polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polyester staple fiber (PSF). The "large-scale" project, expected to cost about $700-million, will be fully integrated with a third party paraxy-lene producer "to ensure a captive supply" of feedstock with low-cost access, said TVL. Details on capacity and location are expected to be made public once formal negotiations have been completed, the company added.
