Doha—Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Co. (Muntajat) has been established as a state-owned company with exclusive rights to purchase, market, distribute and sell Qatar's chemicals and petrochemicals globally. Minister of Energy and Industry Mohamed bin Salah al-Sada, who is also chairman of Muntajat, explained that an "articulated migration plan" was put in place for the "seamless transition" of the current marketing and sales divisions in Qatar's chemicals and petrochemicals producers, including Qatar Petrochemical Co., Qatar Vinyl Co. (QVC), Qatar Fertilizer Co. and Qatar Fuel Additive Co. (Qafac). The transition will be carried out in a "staggered manner," starting with QVC and Qafac.
