Hanoi—Construction on the 200,000-b/d Nghi Son refinery complex in Vietnam's Thanh Hoa province has no been postponed until the first quarter of next year, Reuters reported, citing Dominique Peiffert, general director of Technip, one of the project contractors. In addition to the refinery, which will process Kuwaiti crude, plans for the complex also include the production of 400,000 t/y of polypropylene, 260,000 t/y of polyester and unspecified amounts of gasoline, diesel and liquefied natural gas (PCN, 4 Oct 2010, p 3).
