Bangkok-Indo-rama Ventures has acquired a 51% interest in leading Turkish polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polyester producer SASA Polyester Sanayi from Haci Omer Sabanci Holding for an undisclosed amount. SASA has facilities for the production of PET, polybuty-lene terephthalate polymers, dimethyl terephthalate, staple fibers, filament yarns and specialty chemicals with a combined capacity of 600,000 t/y.
