Oslo—Yara International has appointed Chief Financial Officer Tor-geir Kvidal as the acting chief executive, effective 7 Oct., to replace Jorgen Ole Haslestad, who resigned as chief executive the same day. 'Yara's board have concluded that Haslestad is not the right person to lead the company going forward, also in light of the on-going talks with CF Industries," explained Leif Teksum, chairman of the Yara board of directors.
